Our CEO, Richard (Rich) Keppler, founded VoiceAmerica.com in 1998 as the first Internet talk radio network in the United States. He served as Director for Business Development of Kino Communications LLC. Mr. Keppler serves as Senior Vice President, Business Development of SurfNet Media Corp.
He founded SurfNet Media Group Inc.'s predecessor, the Arizona corporation (also known as SurfNet Media Group, Inc.), which merged into SurfNet Media Group Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary, SurfNet New Media, Inc., in June 2003 in a reverse triangular merger.
Since July 2004, he has been employed by SurfNet Media Group Inc. on a full-time basis. As a recognized expert in new media, Mr. Keppler has spent a significant amount of time over the last several years consulting with Media companies such as CNN, Associated Press, and Fox News and Record companies such as Sony, Columbia, RCA, Arista, Jive, etc., on such topics as developing new, Internet-enabled business models and the creation of new platforms for delivering content.
Mr. Keppler speaks often at music conferences across the United States and enjoys sharing his industry expertise. Mr. Keppler began his career in the radio business. From November 2001 to July 2003, he served as President of Kool Video Productions.
From January 1998 to October 2001, he served as Vice President of Content of the aforementioned Arizona corporation. Before founding the Arizona corporation, he spent 15 years in medium and major radio markets, including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Phoenix, Arizona, Trenton, New Jersey, Wilmington, and Delaware as a disk jockey and on-air personality.
Mr. Keppler served as a Member of Advisory Board of Augme Technologies, Inc. (formerly Surfnet Media Group Inc. and Modavox Inc.). Mr. Keppler serves as a Director of SurfNet Media Corp. He served as Director of Augme Technologies, Inc. since October 2003.
